Patricia "Pat" K. Cottrell

Dateline: Edwardsville Patricia “Pat” K. Cottrell, 66, of Edwardsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:54 pm, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born in Wood River, IL, on June 13, 1955, the daughter of Maurice D. and Matilda L. (Talick) Greer. She married Kenneth D. Cottrell in Edwardsville, in August of 1974. Pat worked at SIUE for 25 years as a supervisor in the food service industry. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Pat also loved spending her summers on the beach with her family building sandcastles with her grandchildren and collecting seashells with the kids. Along with her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by her children, Angela (Michael) Beys of Worden, Amy (Jonathan) Becker of Moro, and Andrea (Bronson) Painter of Moro; siblings, Marcie Riesenberger of Glen Carbon, and Tina (Steve) Arnold of Edwardsville; ten grandchildren, Brett Cross, Blake (Billy) West, Thomas Beys, Levi Beys, Grace Becker, Hope Becker, Addyson Painter, Harrison Painter, Emily (Christopher) Taylor, and Devin Painter; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Jaxx, Knoxx, and Madyxx; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Faith Becker. Visitation will be on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
