Ester Touchon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dateline: Cottage Hills, Illinois Ester (Valerio) Touchon, 61, our loving Sister, Wife, Mother, and Grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She now will be rejoining with her family and friends in the presence of her true love, Jesus Christ. Her dreams and visions of her Host Home is now completed and filled with all the splendors of eternity. She passed away from a short illness peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on her Heavenly Independence Day, July 4, 2022. Ester was born on October 27, 1960, in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Patsy Valerio. Her love and devotion to her church along with her zest for life will be missed by many. She was a woman of many talents, cooking, caring for her precious family, and most of all her ability to pray. Her husband was blessed to have a TRUE Proverbs 31 wife. She leaves behind her loving husband of 19 years, Matt Touchon of Cottage Hills and her two handsome, generous boys, Paul Dean (Ursula) Hart, Travis Wayne (Amber) Hart and her loving daughters Madison Alana Touchon and Becky (Smith) Hukill. She was the youngest sister of 5 girls, Esmeralda (Regulo II) Garcia, Elvia (Micheal) Wagoner, Elva Valerio, Elda (Albert) Hernandez, and two brothers, Joshua Valerio Jr., and Jacob (Valerie) Valerio. She loved and adored her Five Grandchildren, Chloe Hart, Jordon Hart, Autumn Hart, Oliver Hart, and Jaxon Hart, along with her beloved mother-in-law, Carol (Dacy) Heck. Ester was raised in Houston, Texas with her loving Christian family close at hand. She and her young family, son Paul Hart, came to Illinois to pursue employment. Here she extended her family with another son Travis Hart and began working for MJD, Inc. in 1987. She worked her way up to owning and operating her own Commercial Janitorial Company in 2000-2012, TL Cleaning Service. (The Lord’s Cleaning Service). There she successfully operated and grew the company. Her daughter in law, Ursula Hart continues the business. (Butler Cleaning Service). Ester was a devoted member of Enjoy Church for over 30 years. She served most of those years as the Administrator of the Prayer Team at the Alton Campus and then additionally, the O’Fallon Campus. Her love for prayer created a force to be reckoned with. She worked tirelessly with her Sr. Pastors, Daren and Laura Carstens, and the other prayer members Becky Tinsley, Kelly Williams, Becky Duich Marilyn Smalley and others at the church. She had many proud accomplishments in her life but her proudest were her love for her family, church, and for those she left behind her true display of living the Christian life. As Eugene Peterson says in the introduction to 1st and 2nd Samuel in The Message: “We find that we are not being led to see God in our stories but to see our stories in God’s.” Cremation will be handled by Elias, Kallal & Schaaf. There will be a Celebration of Life, July 16, 2022, Time: 4:00 pm at the Enjoy Church Campus in Alton, Il.
